Representatives from 33 countries have confirmed participation in the International Symposium “Inventing the Future”

The inaugural event of the Russia National Centre — the International Symposium “Inventing the Future” — will serve as a unique platform for dialogue between states, where participants will have the opportunity to discuss current issues and develop strategies for shaping a shared future.

As of today, representatives from 33 countries have confirmed their participation in the Symposium. Notable speakers will include Karin Kneissl, former Austrian Foreign Minister; Laxman Kumar Behera, an expert from India’s Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses; John Stuart Durrant, Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Canada; Roberto Quaglia, Italian science fiction writer; Goran Petronijevic, President of the Serbian Center for the Restoration of International Law from Serbia; and other distinguished guests.

The Symposium brings together international speakers from nearly every continent, creating an open platform for sharing experiences and knowledge among representatives of different cultures and nations.

The international track is a key aspect of the Symposium, aimed at strengthening international cooperation and mutual understanding between countries, and providing opportunities to establish new connections and partnerships.

“Symposium participants will discuss the global future of international law, the rapidly changing role of international organizations in regulating global politics, and the interaction of Global South countries with the major economies of the North. Panel discussions will focus on the prospects for peaceful coexistence between nations of the planet, from the perspective of building a multipolar and fair world order. In addition, speakers will address the development of breakthrough digital technologies in international law, and other important topics in contemporary international relations,” says Tatiana Kareva, head of the Department of International Cooperation of the ANO “Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements ‘Russia’.”

On July 1, 2024, President Vladimir Putin signed an order establishing the Russia National Centre to preserve the legacy of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” and to showcase the country’s achievements on a permanent basis.

The International Symposium “Inventing the Future” will be held on November 4-6 at the Russia National Centre. The event will bring together distinguished scientists and researchers, futurists and forecasters, fiction authors, as well as government representatives.

The opening of the Symposium will coincide with the launch of an exhibition supporting the idea of a dialog on the future of the human-centered world. The exhibition will allow each visitor to realize the importance of personal contribution to the future and inspire a desire to be part of its creation.
