The generational theory, formulated in the early 1990s, represents an attempt to understand what drives people, along with their core values, perspectives, and beliefs. It explains how global processes impact the development of different age groups. Today, we stand on the threshold of a new generation. Those being born and raised now may provide us with insight into what our society will look like in decades to come.
Questions for discussion
- Modern understanding of the generational theory.
- Who are the children of the new generation, and how should they be raised?
- Digital goods and benefits: motivations of the new generation.
- Values and perspectives of the new generation.
- Career and self-fulfillment for people of the new generation.
- Living in different worlds: the physical and digital “self.” How will new technologies affect the psyche and behavior of future generations?
